About Us
Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and in the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Association, and the 'We Serve'; motto. Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy. Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.

BAREFOOT LAWN BOWLS Lion's cannot "Roar" on an empty stomach, so we start out with a hearty breakfast on a cool Sunday morning, put on by the members of the Jindalee Bowls Club. A social day of Barefoot Bowls was enjoyed by around 25 members and their family recently at the Jindalee Bowls Club. The club has a tradition of having a social event every month to celebrate those members having a Birthday, in this case it is the June birthday babies. Nursing Home Visitation Every year on Christmas Day members get together to vist the local Nursing Home to hand out lollies and softdrinks with the aid of Santa, we had two Santas last Christmas to be able to get around the whole complex to the residents. We even tried singing some Christmas Carols for them.

More Volunteers in More Places than Any Other Service Club Organization When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve. In 205 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and in eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are at work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders. We want everyone to see a better tomorrow. That's why we support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling. Provide eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight. And raise donations through campaigns like SightFirst and Campaign SightFirst II.
