Forest Lake Lions are people who get involved in humanitarian efforts locally, nationally, and internationally.

This article should appear in the Forest Lake September news.

With a little help from the Lions Club of Forest Lake, Darrin is on his way.

President April was more than happy to present a small donation as Darrin pedaled his way on Saturday. This is the beginning of a 1200klm ride from Sydney to Brisbane in aid of the Royal Childrens Hospital. Please support Darrin in his bid just as we have, said April, donations can be made at the Westpac Bank at the Village Shopping Centre.

This is a massive commitment by Darrin who confesses to be a, Round the Block bike rider. Good Luck Darrin.

More Volunteers in More Places than Any Other Service Club Organization

When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve. In 205 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and in eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are at work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders.

We want everyone to see a better tomorrow.

That's why we support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling. Provide eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight. And raise donations through campaigns like SightFirst and Campaign SightFirst II.
