Forest Lake Lodge visit - 2011 8am Christmas Day 2011, 30 club members and their families visited the elderly residents of the Forest Lake Lodge to hand out bags of lollies we made up and a can of softdrink to the residents, accompanying us, were two Santa to help us spread the Christmas spirit. We even tried to sing a few Christmas Carols to them. Because it is such a large complex we have two Santas to cover the whole area, we split into two groups to get around to see every single elderly resident in the home. Some of them have no family to visit them on Christmas Day, and we know that they really appreciate us calling in to see them. New members are always welcome at the Lions Club of Forest Lake Inc. On the 22nd of June 2011, we welcomed Beau as a new member to the club.

More Volunteers in More Places than Any Other Service Club Organization When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve. In 205 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and in eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are at work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders. We want everyone to see a better tomorrow. That's why we support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling. Provide eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight. And raise donations through campaigns like SightFirst and Campaign SightFirst II.
